which book should i read for my ap euro class?

I have to read a book 300+ pages for my ap euro class and these are my choices:

There is a lot of good literature on that list.

If I were you, I'd try Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, or The Diary of Anne Frank. None of the above would be difficult to write about in my opinion. The only one that might give you some trouble would be Wuthering Heights - it can be a bit confusing, at times. I personally loved the witty dialogue in Pride and Prejudice - and highly recommend the book.

If none of those pique your interest, give Slaughterhouse Five a try. Many people enjoy Vonnegut's unique style, and I don't think you'd have a problem with an essay on this novel, either.

Most people in high school don't enjoy Orwell's Animal Farm (it's not the most exciting read), but you might find 1984 interesting. And that would certainly be easy to write on. They're both heavy into politics, so if you're into that, you'll probably enjoy either novel.

I've never read Gulliver's Travels or Robinson Crusoe - but I've heard some good things about both. And if adventure is where your heart lies, these are probably some of your best options.

If you're up for a challenge (and you want to impress your teacher), I'd go with Crime and Punishment. Dostoevsky could potentially be very difficult, especially if you're not familiar with the way classic literature reads. He is a wondeful author, but his work can sometimes seem rather heavy, and he leans towards the philosophical side. It could also be a potentially difficult essay to write, depending on your topic.

I wouldn't recommend The Communist Manifesto, simply because many people tend to lose interest in it. I have a pretty decent attention span, if I do say so myself, and even I found my thoughts wandering .

In any case, with this list - it's hard not to find a great book.
